Abalee's Up and Coming Stars

All breeders wish the best for their puppies and their new owners.  Some puppies go into homes to be part of a family, some puppies go into homes to become service dogs, and some puppies go on to become competitors.  The puppies that go on to become competitors in a sport and are also family members and companions are the luckiest dogs of all.  As a breeder I have been extremely fortunate to have been able to place a large number of my puppies into competitive homes where they are also cherished members of their family.  Below you will find photos of our latest puppies "strutting their stuff".  Enjoy!

Every week when the puppies get together for their training class they are allowed to play and roll around and just enjoy their reunion for about 15 minutes.  Once play time is over, they go right to work.  Below you will see them
on their sit stay and then individual heeling.

Miss Daisy

Picture
Meet Daisy.  She is out of Lily's last litter.  She is a real sweet heart of a puppy.  She love her family and goes on daily walks with them.  She has managed to ignore a herd of deer while on a sit stay.  Daisy is pictured here at the age of five months and 3 weeks.  She loves her daddy, Stewart.

 Miss Emmie

Picture
Emmie is quite the special puppy.  She is a very calm little girl but possesses the ability to turn on whenever Rick wants to play (i.e. work) and she really enjoys it.  Her tail never stops At the young age of six months and two weeks she is pictured giving her full attention to Rick her partner.

Mr. Jesse

Picture
Liz is new to the world of obedience.  Jesse is the third puppy from Abalee that has gone to live with Liz and her wonderful family.  I think Jesse knows how luck he is, just look at the attention that he is giving Liz on his first heeling attempt.  Good Boy Jesse!!!!  What a team they are going to be.  Jesse is six months and two weeks in this photo.

Mr. Justin

Picture
Justin is Mary's first Conformation dog and her second obedience dog (Gidget is her first).  Mary and Justin are quite the team.  Here he is  at six months and two weeks showing off his wonderful attention while heeling.  This boy really enjoys working with his mistress.  Justin never makes a mistake when he is asked to switch from obedience to conformation or the other way around.  He knows what to do whenever Mary switches his collars.  That is all the cue he needs.

Miss Raine

Picture

Raine is a very intense little girl who really, really, really likes to work.  She is extremely intelligent and catches on the whatever Sue asks of her.  Pictured here at five months and three weeks there was no way that she was going to take her eye off of her mom and friend.  Even though she is intense, she will settle for hugs, pets and kisses.  Truly a very nice puppy.

Dolly (owned by Nancy), whom I do not have a photo of, is also working quite well.  Dolly is sister to Daisy and Raine.   Also, Moriah (with Linda) and my own Mia, sisters to Justin, Jesse, and Emmie will also be photographed and listed on this page.

All of the puppies listed above have already started indicating their "go out", they lay down and stand and sit on command, they come when called, they have already been introduced and are performing directing jumping at a very low height, of course.  They have been a very easy, well mannered, biddable, and super terrific group of puppies and owners to work with.

I would like to share one last thing.  The owners of these puppies are very special people who are dedicated to their puppies and will not tire of them when they become adult dogs.  The bond they share with their puppies will only intensify.  The love and devotion that they now feel for their puppies will continue to flourish throughout the coming years.  I feel privileged to be included in their lives both as their friend and trainer.
